- The church administrator, business manager, treasurer or bookkeeping volunteer at a small or mid-size US church with people on payroll, at least one of them clergy, and a budget the board approves and then asks about all year.
- Not a church without paid staff, where a spreadsheet is genuinely enough; not the person choosing church management, membership or facility software; not a general business shopping for payroll; and not a member of the congregation.

The budget, worked before the board meeting rather than during it
The pastor is an employee for income tax and self-employed for Social Security at the same time, the housing allowance has to be designated in advance and never appears on a W-2 the way salary does, and the whole budget rests on giving that arrives in cash, envelopes and an online platform that reconciles to none of it.
Sacristo is the record for that: payroll with the clergy pieces right, the budget against what was actually given, and the tithe and offering by household so January's statements come out of the record instead of being rebuilt.

Sacristo keeps the three things a church treasurer is asked about
- Clergy payroll
- Payroll that treats a pastor the way the rules actually do A minister is an employee for income tax and self-employed for Social Security, and the housing allowance has to be designated in advance. Ordinary payroll software has no field for either, which is why churches end up correcting it by hand every quarter.
- The budget
- The annual budget against what was actually given, not what was hoped Giving is seasonal and the budget is annual, so a church can be on plan in March and short by September without anybody noticing. Holding the budget against actual giving month by month turns that into a number somebody sees in time to act on it.
- The giving record
- Every gift against the household that made it, so January is a report Annual contribution statements are the one thing every giving household notices, and the deadline is fixed. Kept against the household through the year, they print; rebuilt each January from envelopes, a bank feed and an online platform, they cost a weekend and still have errors.

The worksheet is yours. Sacristo Pro keeps the giving and the payroll behind it.
You keep the sheets. Pro holds the payroll runs, the budget against what was really given, and the giving by household, and it produces the annual contribution statements from that record rather than from a spreadsheet somebody rebuilds each year.
- Send the annual contribution statements from the record they came from
